AN IMPRESSIVE CATHEDRALE
Canterbury is a wonderful historical city with 44,000 inhabitants and has a lot to offer in the way of cultural attractions, social and sports activities. The town is the seat of the bishop of Canterbury, the spiritual leader of the Church of England and the Anglican Communion, and who also has the seat at the Canterbury Cathedral. The Archbishops of Canterbury have been getting appointed by the head of the British Royalty since King Henry VIII’s split from Rome. But even in Canterbury, time has not stood still; modern development were carefully integrated into the still remaining historic areas of the town. Canterbury is surrounded by a peaceful landscape and lies near the coast. London is only an hour and a half trainride away.
