Warnford is a small village in the county of Hampshire. Even though the village cannot offer more than one pub and a couple of houses, the rest of the county is very impressive. The area stands out because of its soft rolling hills, its untouched beaches, its impressive castles and the diversity of its towns such as Southampton or Portsmouth.
AN IMPRESSIVE LANDSCAPE
Hilly chalk lowlands – South Downs – are a further attraction. Several chalk highlands are found here and there in several counties; the most impressive formations are found and can be marveled at directly on the coast between Winchester and Petersfield. Beachy Head and the Seven Sisters rise out as steep bluffs and offer an unforgettable sight. London, with its inexhaustible cultural offerings und innumerable attractions lies only 100 kilometres away. During the 10th and 11th century Winchester was England’s capital city and is located in the county of Hampshire. Nowadays, the town is known for its impressive cathedral, where Queen Mary Tudor was married and where the writer Jane Austen was buried. However, Winchester Castle is also well worth a visit. At the castle, you can admire the table where King Arthur and the Knights of the Roundtable came together..
