Spa houses the head office of CERAN, a small chain of language schools, which ranks top for business language training. Located one kilometre outside the centre of Spa, the school, built in 1908, is housed on a beautiful, castle-like property. It is surrounded by parks and out-buildings.

The infrastructure includes well equipped classrooms, all complete with white boards and DVDS/Video, a language laboratory, a small winter garden, where coffee, water and fruit juices are available for students. There is a lounge and a large garden with lots of seats.

Language instruction is given for French as well as in Dutch, English, German, Portuguese, Italian, Spanish, Chinese, Russian, Arab and Japanese. CERAN offers a structured learning program with nine pedagogical activities each during the private and group lessons, supplemented by tutor-assisted self-study. The school program is rounded off by evening social activities like public speaking, discussions, role-playing or inter-cultural communication. Thanks to this well-balanced teaching method and the manner in which the components complement one other, students optimize their study time and increase their learning progress quickly. The course price includes all meals in the school. During meals and leisure time, the students converse in French with the teaching staff in a relaxed atmosphere. Dinner is a three-course meal, which includes wine. During the seminars teachers and students evaluate individual learning progress on a daily basis and, if necessary, revise the program accordingly.
