
The small town on the Irish west coast impresses visitors above all with its hospitality. The people here are rooted in tradition, but at the same time have a very clear vision of their future. About one fifth of the inhabitants are students adding a youthful atmosphere to the city.

In spite of its relatively small size, there are numerous sights to be marvelled at in Galway and also the town’s cultural calendar impresses the visitor with art, music and great restaurants. The impressive Aran Islands are also only a short boat ride away. The topography of the islands as well as the historic buildings fascinate every visitor. Wonderful beaches, rugged cliffs, old castles and romantic lighthouses are to be discovered on the three islands of Inis Mór, Inis Meain und Inis Oirr.
